Support local students through your business

Sojourner Studio is a small school at Sojourner Bar & Garden in Siem Reap, with courses in English, business, design, art, photography and film. Not everyone who wants to learn can afford to. When your business sponsors a place, a local student studies with us for a full 11-week term.

What a place pays for

Each place covers the whole term: all lessons, all materials and a certificate. You can sponsor one place or many, as a one-off or as regular support. Your money is only used to pay for places for local students.

What your business gets

• A place on our public supporters page. Your business is named, with a few lines about what you do and links to your website, Facebook, Instagram and contact details, so people who read about your support can find you.
• Founding supporter listing. Businesses that support our first term can be listed as founding supporters.
• A receipt for every payment.
• A student project, if you want one. Sponsors can opt in to bring a small real task to one of our courses. See below.

A student project for your business

Every course ends with a project. If you sponsor a place, you can choose to offer your business as the subject of one. It is optional, and it won't suit every business.

How it works

• You tell us what you'd like. For example, photographs of your café, a poster or logo idea, a short video for your Facebook page, a business idea, or English signs and menus.
• We check that it suits the course and the term. Each course takes one project per term, so we may not be able to take every request straight away.
• A team of students works on it, and they may visit or ask you a few questions.
• They present the result at the end of the term.

Please note

• This is a student project, not a professional service. The students are learning, and we cannot promise a finished result by a set date.
• The students own their work. You may use it only with the students' permission, and we are happy to help you ask.
• We never photograph or film people without their agreement.

How to sponsor

• Online: use the sponsor form and pay by card on a secure page, or by ABA bank QR (you scan our QR code in your banking app and send us a screenshot of your payment). You choose whether the place goes to any student or to a specific student.
• By bank QR or in person: message us on WhatsApp +855 96 966 1489 and we will arrange it.
• Regular support: tell us what suits your business and we will set it up.
